anyway whilst waiting for her to come to my house I attempted to take bokeh shots and it was from fail->SUPER AWESOME SHOTS. In an attempt to make my blog more educational I shall explain to you the process. (:

WHAT IS BOKEH. (:

hehe first things first is to know what bokeh is, obviously. Bokeh is basically unfocused balls of light. The problem is that it's really hard to achieve bokeh with a compact camera because compact cameras do not have a special autofocus system that allows that. Also, bokeh requires special lens because the lens kinda go hand in hand with the autofocus system, some lens do not allow certain types of autofocus or manual focus or anything of that matter. I started off with a normal 42mm lens w slight zoom (idk if there is a proper name for it but i don't know what the proper name of it should be anyway LOL), and that didn't really go well. then i tried with a zoom lens, which worked insanely well. Don't ask me why because i don't know, but my zoom lens were 140mm if you're interested. anyway, go ahead and read this post: http://www.photopoly.net/how-to-take-amazing-bokeh-photos/ to understand more hehe because it really, really helped me. with the first 42mm lens. you can see that the light is kinda unfocused but then again, it's doens't have that bokeh effect to it.

and then when I started using my 140mm lens, everything started going well. ^v^

(: TBH i took all of these from my room, looking out my window hence some of the photos have a faint reflection of my camera in the background if you look really, really closely. Hopefully i can go to some nightspots soon with loads of different coloured lights and then i can go really bokeh crazy (:
